On March 21st in Stanford University, the Silicon Valley's Who's Whos, including
founders of Sun, Yahoo, D.E. Shaw, Rambus, Netscape, Silicon Graphics, and over
200 eminent professors and technologists joined forces together in celebrating
the 40 years' anniversary of SU's computer science, and defining the future
technologies of computer science and communications engineering. One of the
important conclusions from this very influential symposium is that the future
computer architecture will be integrated into the wireless architecture, and
making both architectures open is the only solution for this revolutionary
integration ! The meeting was moderated by John Markoff, New York Times.

will NOT issue 3G licenses before
GMC'06, Oct.9-11 in Beijing ! "China will focus on 4G
mobile R&D and innovation as one of the mission-critical
strategies in the next decade", message from the 2006 People's
Congress on March 6th, Beijing. In 2000 during 3Gwireless'2000
in San Francisco, Prof. Willie Lu predicted that "China will not

University of California, Berkeley (U.C. Berkeley) on Feb.23rd for
the 2006 Berkeley EECS Annual Research Symposium with theme "Looks
to the Future - The Future of EECS". Many professors including Prof.
Jan Rabaey and Prof. Willie Lu totally agreed that the future of
wireless infrastructure will be based on open wireless architecture
(OWA) with topics such as cognitive radio, spectrum recycling,
background-calibrated ADC and ambient wireless router, etc. Prof.
John Canny also stated that the future mobile phone will be a social
platform with open system architecture supporting various
technologies.
